Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire, a quiet town situated in the West Island of Montreal is the home of a variety of small businesses. Many people unfamiliar with the word often think that it's a distinct island that lies west of Montreal However, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from Lachine west to Lachine west. Amanda Brugel was born there, and it is true. The only thing is that she visited for a few days. Brugel was raised in Courtice in the outskirts of Oshawa. The first goal she had was to dance, however, a rapid growth rate meant that she was able to outgrow her dance partners. She acknowledged in a piece published by The Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall, even when she was wearing heels. When I grew out of the male colleagues I worked together, I made the decision to stop. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. Following a trial, she got the role of leading woman on the show Anne of Green Gables. This led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program which she graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000.In the more than 20 years that followed, Brugel has landed roles in more than 60 productions in both the small and the large screens. She attracted the most interest when she was offered the role of Rita on the award-winning series, The Handmaid's Tale
